From your first contact with us, our aim is to to ensure the process involved in creating your dream floor , exciting, and trouble free. There are many "do's and don't's" to be considered with wood flooring, and no two installations are the same, we have to take these factors in to account to ensure your new floor is right for your home and lifestyle. It all starts with your phone call or email, when you can book a home visit for a time that most suits you, where you will have the opportunity to see samples of actual flooring, and we can assess and discuss with you the technicality of the installation. In order for us to give you a firm price for materials and installation ,"which wont rise due to unforeseen issues", we need to take this opportunity to thoroughly check sub floor levels, moisture and humidity. The way you normally heat and ventilate your property has to be taken into account for suitability of chosen materials. For the ultimate finish to your new floor , to create that "WOW" factor, good advice on trims and accessory always makes a difference, maybe you have decided on an entrance mat well, or for your wooden floor to continue over stairs, we can meet your specific requirements.

Now you've chosen us

When our home visit and survey is complete and if you're happy with our quotation, we need to make arrangements with our suppliers to have the flooring delivered two days in advance of installation, in order for the wood to acclimatise to the temperature and humidity of your home. Any sub floor preparation involving screeds or self levelling compounds will be done prior to delivery.

Installation

As an example an installation of between forty to fifty square meters will take two days, if removal and replacement of skirting boards is required then an extra day can be added to this time. Smaller jobs of below twenty five meters square can usually be competed in just one day.

Care and maintainance of your new floor

Most new real wood floors are already pre-finished , so maintainance is low , however good advice is always needed to maintain the good looks of a new floor . Great variations in room temperature and humidity should be avoided , and a keen eye should be kept on any water and dampness in contact with the floor. When fitted correctly a wooden floor will live with your day to day use and keep its character and compliment your home or business for many decades. In fact we believe most hardwood floors improve in looks and character with age.
